2025.08.28健康医療スポーツ学部 リハビリテーション学科 作業療法コースの学生が「2025 市津市民祭り」でイベントブースを運営しました。
8月24日（日）千葉キャンパスに隣接する「潤井戸ふれあい公園」にて、市津市民祭りが開催されました。市原市商工会議所、市津商店会のサポートを受けながら、健康医療スポーツ学部 リハビリテーション学科 作業療法コース学生5名、卒業生1名、教員2名で、ブースを運営させていただきました。
今年は、作業療法の紹介の他、「モルック体験」と「オリジナル缶バッチ作り」の2ブースを運営しました。
「モルック」は木の棒を使ったフィンランド発祥の軽スポーツです。学生たちは日ごろから地域の方々にモルックの運営を行う機会を通して作業療法としての効果を体感しています。今回は地域の方々に向けたモルック体験のコーナーを出展しました。
「缶バッチ作り」では、未就学児から小学生の子どもたちに、絵を描くところからサポートをし、自分だけの「オリジナル缶バッチ」完成まで、サポートをしました。
学生たちは、初対面の方々への説明や対応に、初めは戸惑う様子もみられましたが、あっという間に場の状況を把握し、運営に徹していました。来場してくださった地域の皆さんと共に楽しむ、笑顔いっぱいの時間になりました。
同行した健康医療スポーツ学部 リハビリテーション学科 作業療法コース 齊藤 一実 講師は、「年齢層が様々な初対面の方へ関わる機会は、作業療法を学ぶ学生にとってとても重要です。1人1人に合わせた声掛けやサポートの在り方を体験できたのではないでしょうか。また、ご来場いただいた方々や学生達の笑顔があふれる素敵な空間になっていました。」と話されました。
モルックを担当した健康医療スポーツ学部 リハビリテーション学科 作業療法コース 勝嶋 雅之 准教授は、「地域のご家族連れの方、大人の方、小中学生のみなさんなど数多く参加してくださいました。小学生8名によるミニゲーム大会は、大変盛況でした。地域の方々からは、広い公園なのでモルックのような取り組みを行ってほしい、という声もお聴きしました。このような機会を通して大学・地域間の交流からより良い活動や関係を構築していきたいです。」と話されました。
このような機会をいただいた、市津商店会の皆様、市原市商工会議所の皆様、地域の方々に心より感謝申し上げます。作業療法コースおよび、ボランティアサークル＠SOVIVA！（作業療法コース発信サークル）は、これからも地域貢献活動に力を入れていきます。
Students from the Occupational Therapy Major in the Department of Rehabilitation, Faculty of Health Care and Medical Sports operated an event booth at the 2025 Shizu Citizens’ Festival.
On Sunday, August 24, the Shizu Citizens’ Festival was held at “Uruido Fureai Park,” adjacent to the Chiba Campus. With the support of the Ichihara Chamber of Commerce&Industry and the Shizu Shopping District Association, five students from the Department of Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy Major in the Faculty of Health Care and Medical Sports, one graduate, and two faculty members operated two booths at the festival.
This year, in addition to introducing occupational therapy, we operated two booths: “Mölkky Experience” and “Original Badge Making.” Mölkky is a light sport that originated in Finland using wooden pins and throwing sticks. Our students have been experiencing the therapeutic value of this game through their regular involvement with local community members. At this event, we offered a Mölkky trial experience for the local residents.
For the “Original Badge Making” booth, we supported children — from preschoolers to elementary school students — from the drawing stage all the way to the completion of their own unique original badges.
Although the students initially appeared a bit unsure when explaining and interacting with people they were meeting for the first time, they quickly grasped the situation and fully dedicated themselves to running the booth. It turned into a joyful time filled with smiles, as they enjoyed the event together with the local community members who visited.
Hitomi Saito, a lecturer from the Department of Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy Major in the Faculty of Health Care and Medical Sports, who accompanied the students, shared:“Opportunities to engage with people of various ages and first-time encounters are very important for students learning occupational therapy. I believe they were able to experience how to offer appropriate support and communication tailored to each individual. It became a wonderful space filled with smiles from both the attendees and our students.”
Masayuki Katsushima, an associate professor who supervised the Mölkky booth, also from the Department of Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy Major in the Faculty of Health Care and Medical Sports, commented:“We welcomed many participants, including local families, adults, and elementary and junior high school students. The mini-game tournament involving eight elementary school children was a great success. We also received feedback from local residents expressing interest in having more activities like Mölkky in such a spacious park. I hope that opportunities like this will continue to strengthen and deepen the relationship between the university and the community.”
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Shizu Shopping District Association, the Ichihara Chamber of Commerce&Industry, and all members of the local community for providing us with this valuable opportunity.
The Occupational Therapy Major and the volunteer group @SOVIVA! (a student-led initiative from the Occupational Therapy Major) will continue to actively engage in community contribution activities.
