Students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Win First Place in the “Inter-Pharmaceutical University Quiz Competition” at the 25th JAPAN Drugstore Show

From August 8 (Fri.) to 10 (Sun.), students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, participated in the “Inter-Pharmaceutical University Quiz Competition” held at Tokyo Big Sight as part of the 25th JAPAN Drugstore Show and won first place.

This competition aimed to foster interaction between pharmaceutical universities and drugstore pharmacists. Teams consisted of three members: two pharmaceutical university students and one alumnus/alumna working as a drugstore pharmacist. Participants competed by answering quiz questions related to pharmaceuticals, earning points based on the number of correct answers.

Representing our university were Urara Kamo and Yuka Matsuo, both third-year students from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Moeka Miyazawa, an alumna currently working as a pharmacist at Sugi Pharmacy. Among the six participating pharmaceutical universities—Josai University, Josai International University, Teikyo University, Teikyo Heisei University, Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences, and Nihon Pharmaceutical University—our team claimed the championship title.

The participating students commented, “We were nervous, but we are delighted to have won through teamwork. We felt that our daily studies truly paid off.”

Our university continues to support each student’s challenges and actively encourages their activities beyond campus. This victory stands as a testament to both the potential of our students and the educational excellence of our university.
