2025.07.02「北コロラド大学 & 帝京平成大学 学術協定締結記念 特別講演会」を開催しました。
5月31日（土）帝京平成大学は北コロラド大学（米国）との学術交流協定の再締結を記念し、池袋キャンパス冲永記念ホールにて特別講演会を開催いたしました。
当日は北コロラド大学のアスレティックトレーニング臨床教育コーディネーターであるシャノン・コートニー（Shannon Courtney）先生をお招きし、人文社会学部 経営学科 トレーナー・スポーツ経営コースに加え、ヒューマンケア学部 鍼灸学科 トレーナー・鍼灸コース、柔道整復学科 トレーナー・柔道整復コースでアスレティックトレーナー関連科目を履修している学生を中心に、教職員を含む約170名が参加しました。
特別講演会ではシャノン・コートニー先生から「米国におけるアスレティックトレーナーの役割と活動現場 ～現状と未来～」をテーマに、米国におけるアスレティックトレーナーの教育カリキュラムや専門的な活動内容、今後の展望について、貴重なお話をいただきました。
続いて行われたパネルディスカッションでは「アスレティックトレーナーに求められる資質・能力とは（米国と日本の現状を踏まえて）」をテーマに、活発な意見交換が行われ、参加者にとって大変有意義な時間となりました。
さらに、2024年度デンバー研修に参加した学生による英語でのプレゼンテーション「デンバー研修報告」も行われ、国際的な学びの成果を披露しました。
帝京平成大学は、今後も北コロラド大学との交流をさらに深め、未来志向の学術連携を推進してまいります。
特別講義の様子
A Special Commemorative Lecture for the Academic Agreement between the University of Northern Colorado and Teikyo Heisei University was held.
On Saturday, May 31, Teikyo Heisei University held a special lecture at the Okinaga Memorial Hall on the Ikebukuro Campus to commemorate the renewal of its academic exchange agreement with the University of Northern Colorado (USA).
On the day of the event, Professor Shannon Courtney, Clinical Education Coordinator for Athletic Training at the University of Northern Colorado, was invited to speak. Approximately 170 participants attended, including students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Business, Trainer and Sports Management Course; the Faculty of Human Care, Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Trainer Course; and the Department of Judo Physical Therapy, Trainer and Judo Physical Therapy Course, along with faculty and staff.
In the special lecture, Professor Courtney gave a valuable talk under the theme “The Role of Athletic Trainers in the U.S. and their Field of Activities Present and Future.” She provided insights into the educational curriculum for athletic trainers in the United States, their specialized roles, and future outlook.
Following the lecture, a panel discussion was held on the theme “Qualities and Abilities Required as an Athletic Trainer — A Comparison Between the U.S. and Japan.” The discussion was lively and engaging, making it a highly meaningful experience for all participants.
Additionally, students who participated in the 2024 Denver Training Program delivered a presentation in English titled “Report on the Denver Training Program,” showcasing the outcomes of their international learning experience.
Teikyo Heisei University will continue to deepen its ties with the University of Northern Colorado and promote forward-looking academic collaboration.
